Artist Statement
Throughout the progress of this year I feel that I have learned how to control light with white balanced to capture a more accurate image of a moment. As well, I have improved on my control of the shot with the speed of my camera to capture certain situations with aperture and shutter speed. Despite my improvments I still need to improve on planning.

Arts Walk
Something that surprised me was the fact that the clock tower was open and that there was a small museum in it. Also, how many people came this year, usually it seems that there is a lot less people there normally are. I enjoyed the environment as I always do each year.
Final Portraits
The purpose of this project was to capture a persons personality in a single photo. As well, how to control a shoot with a subject that we can tell what to do. Lastly, it allowed for us to learn on another form of photography and show off how to use rules of composition.

White Balance Experiment
In this activity we were asked to set our cameras on auto and photograph a white sheet of paper under different lighting to see how it effected its color. The purpose of this project was to understand how different lighting effects color. As seen from this contact sheet, each of the lightnings has a different affect on skin-tone or colors. I can use this in my photos to get the look with the Kelvin level to create a cooler or more warm look as well to correct my subject.
Montage final
The purpose of this project was to get more familiar with Photoshop and be introduced to a new form of photography. I learned a lot about how to use a camera to achieve this look. As well the purpose to taking this was to show how people are pieced together to become an entire person. It's in this style of David Hockney, piecing smaller photos together to create one single image.
Montage Start
The purpose of this shoot was to create an image from multiple shoots. A suggestion that I have was to zoom in and do not shift what so ever otherwise it messes with your shot. As well try and choose a cool subject.
Motion finals
Through this project we learned how to use our cameras to capture new effects that were not in our ability before. As well, improve on our composition to make better photos.
Panning
I was absent for this project however is when you follow the object to create a blur to appear as if the object could be moving.
Motion Blur
The purpose of this project was to lower the shutter speed to capture motion rather than snap a single image. This shows motion of a couple seconds rather than a snap shot. This was very challenging due to having moving subjects and keeping steady to take it
Sharp Motion
In this we had to learn how to control shutter speed (400) and ISO (3200). As well learn the way that the camera works to time the right shot. Lastly, we had to work as a group in order to capture the subject.
Narrative Photos
The purpose of this project is to tell a story with a single hardly edited photo. This was challenging because we needed to snap a single moment which isn't easy plus it has to tell a story. As well to improve upon it more than before compared to our orginals.
Sequential Narrative
How to tell a story with multiple frames and improving on our rules of composition. (contact sheet below)
Final Grid Narrative
Through this project we learned how to tell a story with images that still holds a beginning middle and end. As well, it helped us to improve upon our abililty to take a certain shot and follow rules of composition.

Alex and I had canotypes which was a new way to take photos that were faster than it was before and better quality that was invented by Henry Fox.
